Job Overview

We're seeking an innovative Mathematical Analyst + Software Engineer to join our R&D team. You'll develop and optimize image processing and modeling algorithms for satellite imaging using Python, NumPy, SciPy, OpenCV, and skimage. Ideal candidates have strong image processing skills, a math or computational science background, and a passion for space tech.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, Develop & Test various complex image processing algorithms for satellite image preprocessing and data analysis of various datasets.
  • Design, Develop, Test & Deploy various Image processing & Mathematical modelling algorithms for different applications such as Image Enhancement, Restoration, Matching, Edge Detection, Feature Extraction etc.
  • Continuously improve the quality and performance of existing Image processing & data analysis algorithms by applying latest research in the field.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Image Processing, Data Analysis, Mathematical modelling and Space technology to drive innovation in the field.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to the ongoing/developed processes and applications.

Qualification

  • Professional Experience: 2+ years in the field of Image processing, Data analysis, Mathematical Modelling and should have worked on at least one project where he/she has applied techniques like Restoration, Image Matching, Image Enhancement, Feature Extraction etc.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing image processing algorithms from scratch.
  • Knowledge of core Image Processing is necessary.
  • Must Have: Proficiency in python and in libararies like numpy, scipy, pandas, skimage and opencv.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Computational Physics or a related field and should have taken an Image Processing/Mathematical Modelling course in bachelor's or master's Degree.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Understanding of Remote sensing, AI/ML applications is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of multithreading/code optimization, Computer architecture.
  • Experience in programming languages for GPGPUs/Cuda is added advantage.
  • Experience in field of image processing is must.
