Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Junior GIS Engineer to join our team, specializing in the GIS and
with hands on experience with GIS software for analytics on satellite images. In this role, you'll get to be part
of Software and an R&D team working on applying state of the art Computer Vision and AI techniques on
Satellite data.
Key Responsibilities
As a Jr. GIS Engineer, you would be part of a team consisting of GIS Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers &
analysts to mark various objects and features of interest for creating training datasets and analysis reports.
You will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with ML Engineers to determine and understand input data and annotate by drawing polygons
to highlight objects of interest.
- Work closely with analysts and product owners to understand features and objects required for analysis
reports.
- Report and document issues faced from data annotation to the ML team and discuss solutions to improve
data.
- Provide feedback for improvement to existing tools that can improve the accuracy and quality of datasets.
- Contribute to workflow process improvements.
- Create and maintain documentation of the dataset created.
Qualification
- Any graduate degree.
- Preferably with basic computer literacy and IT experience.
- Comfortable handling large data sets on a regular basis.
- Ability to work on repetitive tasks efficiently and effectively with minimal errors.
- Excellent communication, analytical, good reasoning and problem-solving skills.
